The Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) in Classical Contemporary is a technically diverse course is based around the demands for highly skilled classical contemporary dancers across the international contemporary company industry.
Students are trained at a high level across a range of internationally recognised and practiced contemporary dance techniques, including but not limited to the Graham, Bourne and Cunningham, technical contemporary and release techniques. With a teaching staff in this genre that is second to none, students are mentored and coached by Julliard, Rambert, Nederlands Dance Theatre and Matthew Bourne company alumni.
As a nationally recognised qualification, the Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) includes skills to prepare dancers who work or aspire-to-work in professional dance companies. Students learn to apply theory and creative skills in a range of situations and to conduct performance planning initiative and judgement. Graduates should have developed skills to work with autonomy in planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating complex performing arts techniques and operations.
