27th – 29th September 2021 | 7-18 Years
BRIGHTEN UP YOUR LOCKDOWN HOLIDAYS WITH OUR FAMOUS SPRING INTENSIVE!
We’re bringing you 15 incredible classes with Australia’s best choreographers across 3 massive days! Teaching staff: Sab McCarthy, Stephen Tannos, Robbie Kmetoni, Olivia Carniato, Matthew Gode, Kate Beattie, Cassie Bartho, Ash Tavares and Alex Miedzinski.
Each day commences at 10am and finishes at 2pm. Each day contains three 1-hour classes with an industry-leading dance teacher/choreographer. Students are divided into age groups, subject to numbers. Full timetable is released closer to the day. Throughout the intensive, teachers will be on the look out for hardworking and fierce dancers to win a scholarship to the 2022 Summer Camp, so be ready to break a sweat!
This program is suitable for 7 – 18-year-old students of intermediate to advanced level. Of course, if you’re outside of the age range but ready to give it a go, you’re more than welcome!
All classes are delivered via Zoom. We’re all very familiar with Zoom by now, however please test your setup/account prior to the classes to ensure a smooth-running event. We’ll send you a Zoom cheat sheet along with your detailed timetable a little closer to the day!
Please note, due to the teachers’ demanding schedule, staff are subject to change at any time. If we do have to replace a staff member, we will let you know and offer an awesome replacement!
Classes include jazz, commercial, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary and fusion styles. While our teachers are secured prior to the camp, the timetable can change at any time so it’s best to bring all of your shoes/clothes each day.
At Brent Street we are committed to the inclusion and recognition of all; regardless of race, age, culture, ability, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status or religious affiliation. As an inclusive environment, we have zero tolerance for bullying and exclusion. If you’re feeling uncomfortable at any time, please see a staff member as soon as possible. Uniqueness is powerful; without it we wouldn’t be where we are today. So, be yourself – we like you that way.
We encourage students to prepare lunch, including snacks and water to get you through the day. The workshop is physically demanding so it’s vital that you fuel your body with nutritious foods and plenty of water.
Brent Street is a wonderful place and we are excited to share a little bit of the magic with you at the virtual workshop! See you there!
